About Us
At Generate, our mission is to accelerate the deployment of low-carbon buildings by creating a next-generation workflow that links design to manufacturing. As a Boston-based MIT spin-off, we are transforming how the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector designs and builds by integrating state-of-the-art generative design and offsite construction techniques.
In 2025 alone, we have processed over 17 million square feet of mass timber projects through the Generate platform. To support our growth, we are seeking a dynamic designer to join us as a Project Designer, a role with significant potential for growth within our company.

Educational Background: Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering.
Work Experience: 1–2 years in an architectural or engineering firm with a foundational understanding of the high-density building market sector.
Work Authorization: Valid work status in the United States.
High Degree of Rigor: You triple-check your work and go above and beyond to deliver design packages to the highest standard of care.
Nice-to-Haves
Architectural or Engineering Licensure: Licensed professional in the United States.
Building Systems Understanding: General understanding of the requirements and coordination difficulties of structural, facade, and mechanical system design.
Construction Knowledge: Experience evolving design concepts collaboratively across preconstruction phases and working with architects, engineers, builders, and contractors.
Timber Expertise: Familiarity with mass timber design or construction methods is a plus but not required.
Why Join Us
Impactful Mission: Drive our mission in unlocking the power of construction by building generative infrastructure that connects how buildings are designed, manufactured, and delivered.
Innovative Environment: Be part of a cross-disciplinary team that’s transforming the construction industry by bringing to life a cutting-edge Computer-Aided Design for Manufacturers (CADfM) platform.
